Nortre-Dame Cathedral burns in a spectacular fire just a few days before the celebration of Easter. The symbolism is inescapable. The European faith began to die about the time the cathedral’s foundations were laid. We provide the history of the dissolution of the faith in France, beginning in the 1200s and coming to fruition at the St. Bartholomew’s Day’s massacre. We also discuss the confusion concerning government jurisdictions that seem to be prevalent in evangelicalism today.
