Although 97% of churches are moving towards Zoom and Streaming, let’s be clear on one thing. ZOOM IS NOT CHURCH. Listening to a John MacArthur sermon on the way to work on your I-phone is not church. It may be edifying, but it’s not church. Kevin Swanson carefully searches out the definition of church from 1 Corinthians 11:18-20, and it is clear that the church is that which “gathers together in one place.” The abandonment of church in modern age, and the increased electronic isolation is not a healthy sign.
