One of the most successful pop musicians of all time, Jimmy Buffet has gone on to meet his Maker. But, what about his pedestrian philosophy that has appealed so much to the masses? “Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die.” What appeared to be light and happy-go-lucky turned out to be a life of hopelessness and despair. We discuss the Jimmy Buffett worldview of irresponsibility, escapism from reality, the capitulation to the bondage of sin, and the futile attempts to ignore or bypass the curse of sin placed upon man in the garden.
