A battle is heating up. Will 2020 be a year that evangelicals split apart on the right things or the wrong things? Will evangelicalism split down the middle on Donald Trump and Immigration policy? Or will evangelicalism split right down the middle on things like the Definition of Sin, the Law of God, the Power of the Gospel to transform lives and to provide a new identity and a new orientation in Christ? Thoughtful Christians will want to be careful not to split apart the body on the gnats, on questionable issues, or on third-level applications. Here are some principles to consider as we approach the 2020 elections.
