The "prophets" are gone. They are dead now. The world did not listen to them. The last of them died in 2019. They warned of this. Why wouldn’t anybody listen to them? A few of us still remember them. George Orwell. A.A. Hodge. C.S. Lewis. T.S. Elliot. G.K. Chesterton. Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn. Francis Schaeffer. Gordon Clark. Herbert Schlossberg. It was a word in season — not inspired prophecy as in Isaiah and Jeremiah. But, why wouldn’t anybody listen? It turns out, they were right. Here we summarize the great wisdom of foregone generations of those who saw it coming, and they warned us.
