Biblical justice and biblical economics are far different than the Marxist view. Here we review Tim Keller and Gustavo Gutierrez and their doctrine of liberation theology and social justice. Rendering grace or mercy to the poor is not a matter of justice. It is a matter of mercy. We contrast the world's motivation to work with a Christian's motive. Ultimately, rewards lie in the hand of God. Proverbs 1:22—The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it. 1 Samuel 2:7—The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.
