More evangelicals are moving away from the authority of Scripture while seeking authority in science, or church authority and tradition. News that Hank Hanagraaff of the Bible Answer Man fame has turned toward the Orthodox Church serves as another example of the trend.  Do we find orthodoxy in decrepit institutions? Do we find life in icons, smells, and bells?  Do we find authority in centralized power and long standing institutions? Or shall we find orthodoxy in Scripture, life in the Spirit, and authority in the Spirit speaking through His Word?  What fruits do we find with the Orthodox church teachers who failed to disciple Russia and Greece over the last half millennium?  We discuss the major orthodox and orthopraxic issues that must be considered when joining a church community.
