Is "The Chosen" finally bringing Christians, Mormons, and Catholics together in ecumenical unity? Who is this Jesus presented in the TV series? Is this a Jesus like the rest of us, the latter-day saints Jesus, or the least common denominator (LCD) Jesus? Or, is this the Creator of the Universe, God incarnate, and the Judge of the World? We revisit the outrageously popular "The Chosen" TV series, finding snippets of the Book of Mormon, the book of humanist trite phrases, and odd twists on Scripture mixed into the dialogue. We compare the writings of 3 Nephi with Jesus' teachings in Matthew 5.
About Your Host, Kevin Swanson
Homeschooled himself in the 1960's and 70's, Kevin Swanson and his wife, Brenda, are now homeschooling their five children. Since graduating from his homeschool and then serving as student body president of a large west coast university, he has gone on to other leadership positions in corporate management, church, and other non-profits.
