Churches love distinctives—things that make them distinct (and look like they are better than) other churches. Distinctives are fine. The trouble comes in when the distinctive becomes the major to the surrender of the other majors—when we lose the camels in the gnats. We get into Bible translations from the Septuagint to the Vulgate to the King James Version, and all the others. We love the KJV, but people can go to hell clinging to their KJV and not really believing what’s in it. We end with the short story on what makes a healthy church.

About Your Host, Kevin Swanson

Homeschooled himself in the 1960's and 70's, Kevin Swanson and his wife, Brenda, are now homeschooling their five children. Since graduating from his homeschool and then serving as student body president of a large west coast university, he has gone on to other leadership positions in corporate management, church, and other non-profits.
